Gnosis App

Making digital money simple

Designing a self-custodial money app that makes crypto feel familiar and easy to use.

The challenge

Gnosis App needed to work for people who were comfortable with crypto and those using it for the first time.

One of the main challenges was deciding how much of the underlying technology to expose. Everyday actions had to feel familiar, while technical details still needed to be available when they mattered.

Giving marketplace products more room to stand out

I redesigned the marketplace to give individual products more character and make their differences easier to see. The work covered product listings, detail pages and the purchase flow.

Making checkout easier to follow. I revisited the checkout form to make the required information easier to scan and fill out. The redesign introduced clearer sections and a more structured layout.

Improving the everyday experience

Beyond the marketplace, I worked on different parts of the app, including payments, card rewards and community features. Some changes involved new flows, while others focused on making existing screens clearer.

Making card rewards easier to understand. I redesigned the rewards screen to make the relationship between GNO holdings and cashback more transparent. An interactive slider lets users explore different reward levels, while additional details explain how each tier works.
Making community rules easier to follow. Joining a community can involve reputation requirements, membership fees and other conditions. The design makes those requirements visible before someone commits to joining.
Keeping payments straightforward.

Custom animations made the routine act of minting CRC feel more engaging and rewarding.

Building custom tools

To make animation handoff easier, I built a small tool with a timeline, layers and keyframes. It could export animations as SVG, CSS or GSAP for developers to use.

Talking to users at Dappcon

I also represented Gnosis App at Dappcon Berlin 2026, walking visitors through the product and hearing their questions firsthand.

It was a useful opportunity to see which parts of the experience needed more explanation outside the design process.
